Inside The Newly Imagined Disneyland Hotel, Paris – A Magically Immersive Property Where Dreams Really Do Come True

A bolthole that oozes royal pedigree, legendary stories unfold at this honeymoon hotspot in one of the happiest places on Earth

Her palatial candyfloss-pink façade is irrefutably striking – plucked straight from a fairy-tale fantasy – but once inside the lobby, the enchanting five-star hotel truly reveals herself in all her majestic glory. Welcome to Disneyland Hotel, Paris.

Disneyland Hotel

Awakening from a two-year reimagination with poise, the completely refurbished hotel is dedicated to paying homage to the legendary stories in which Disney princes and princesses appear. The light-filled lobby – inspired by the Beauty and the Beast castle library – is the beating heart of the property, and radiates with elegance beneath a dazzling Bohemian crystal chandelier of Sleeping Beauty’s castle.

Just as I finished checking in, cleaning staff dressed in chic uniforms began to twirl their feather dusters in the air, bursting into song and dance – Be Our Guest – of course. I’m definitely in Disneyland, I thought to myself, as I whole-heartedly surrendered to the magic, just as Cinderella sashayed down the staircase.

Whisked away to my royal abode, of which there are 487 in total, ranging from rooms to suites, the décor concept, while remaining true to the hotel’s ethos of honouring Disney stories, is elegantly refined. Rooms are swathed in lavish textiles in sumptuous tones, while meticulously curated accents and design features such as gilded-framed mirrors resembling Rapunzel’s hair, and Aladdin’s magic lamp woven into the plush carpet, embody the multi-character tone. Clever considerations, including mirrored walls masquerading television screens and treasure chests housing amenities are thoughtful touches, while deluxe rooms feature an illuminated canopy above the bed, along with exclusive artworks showcasing an array of iconic Disney movie moments that come to life at the switch of a button.

16 signature suites take themed décor to a whole new level. Cinderella, Beauty and the Beast, Frozen, Sleeping Beauty and Rapunzel-devoted options feature unique design elements inspired by the Disney classics, ensuring every detail honours the animated references, complete with magical flourishes such as an illuminated glass slipper, or an enchanted rose glistening on the bedside table.

The crème de la crème of luxurious abodes – and an ideal haven for honeymooners – are the Beauty and the Beast Princely Suite and the Frozen Royal Suite, where guests are invited to step inside the heart-warming stories in grandeur style. At the former, every detail of the opulent residence is truly enchanted by the tale as old as time, from the bedroom to the lounge-turned-ballroom, the lavish baroque aesthetic will capture the hearts of Disney devotees in an instant. At the latter, every element ensures guests are transported to Queen Elsa’s Ice Palace where a flurry of frosty magic is sprinkled throughout the exquisite one-of-a-kind suite, complete with a royal balcony boasting unparalleled views across Disneyland Paris park. Both suites feature magnificent fireplaces echoing those featured in the respective movies, as well as several secret treasures you’ll have to unearth for yourself.

And then there is the food.

Five culinary options, each with their own exceptional personality, are steeped in the same powerful storytelling seen throughout the property, each infused with a French savoir-faire and the spirit of creativity inherent to all things Disney – including impromptu visits from Mickey and Minnie, and illustrious princess and princesses.

A visit wouldn’t be complete without experiencing La Table de Lumière, Disneyland Hotel’s fine dining restaurant. A tribute to the unforgettable Beauty and the Beast ballroom scene, which itself was inspired by the Hall of Mirrors in Versailles Castle, a hyper-seasonal menu where dishes combine complex scents and flavours are nothing short of genius.

The ultimate indulgence after days spent riding rollercoasters? Disneyland Hotel Spa by Clarins. Offering lavish treatments to soothe the mind, body and spirit, the only conundrum is which of the heavenly treatments to try first.

Devoted to a clientele who appreciate impeccable service and luxurious accommodation with a sprinkling of fairy dust, Disneyland Hotel is an all-enveloping, enchanting experience that will stay within your heart for all of eternity.

The end.
