All eyes were on social media on October 5, as Italian supermodel Mariacarla Boscono married Olympic pole vaulter, Claudio Stecchi in an emotional ceremony, held at Villa Valguarnera in Bagheria.
The bride wore a custom Dolce & Gabbana Alta Moda dress, fashioned from lace and upcycled vintage Sicilian fabrics. Each part of the dress used different pieces of lace in varying shades. The cape worn for the ceremony was made from 2000 meters of pleated tulle panels, and was worn with a crown of porcelain flowers, embellished with crystals. Boscono later transformed into a further two striking looks, including tulle stocking boots, hand-embroidered with flowers, lace and crystals. Each dress change was inspired by the idea of the bride deconstructing each look.
The groom wore a rust-brown mohair wool suit with a shawl jacket and wide-leg trousers by Zegna.
