Born and raised in the vibrant city of Mumbai, Naeem Khan was immersed in an environment rich in culture, architecture, art, history, and design. From a young age, he developed an extensive understanding of textiles, guided by the discerning insights of his grandfather and father, both illustrious designers of intricate garments favoured by Indian royal families. At the age of 20, Khan relocated to the United States, aspiring to make his mark in the world of design. He commenced his illustrious career as an apprentice to the legendary American designer, Halston.
During his tenure with Halston, Khan became steeped in the ethos of modern restraint, honing his skills in draping and cutting fabric to forge silhouettes that are both clean and timelessly elegant. This design philosophy, seamlessly intertwined with the rich legacy of his family’s craftsmanship, culminated in the emergence of the Naeem Khan design aesthetic that is cherished today.
Khan unveiled his eponymous collection in 2003, making a distinguished debut at renowned establishments such as Bergdorf Goodman, Neiman Marcus, and Saks Fifth Avenue. Since that time, his collections have graced the wardrobes of glamorous women across the globe, including Beyoncé, Jennifer Lopez, Taylor Swift, Michelle Obama, Queen Noor of Jordan, and the Duchess of Cambridge, Kate Middleton. In recognition of his exceptional contributions to the industry, he was inducted into the esteemed Council of Fashion Designers of America in 2008.
In 2013, Naeem Khan Bridal was launched to the world. Today, both the Naeem Khan Ready-to-Wear and Bridal collections are available at over 150 retail outlets across the globe. The Autumn Bridal 2025 collection is an ode to the modern bride who dares to be different. Featuring exquisite suits, statement shoulders and mini hemlines, this collection is designed to make a statement.
