Signor Sassi, with its elegant Art Deco-inspired interior, is reminiscent of the enchanting villas and lush gardens of Lake Como. The restaurant boasts a remarkable collection of bespoke Murano-inspired chandeliers, mirrored panelling and high-gloss timber, all harmoniously complementing its striking emerald and ivory Carrara marble floor — which has unequivocally earned a coveted position on my fantasy home design mood board.
The expansive space is adorned with furnishings that pay tribute to mid-century Italian design. A graceful olive tree, flown in from Puglia, presides over one end of the restaurant, meanwhile, a beautifully crafted marble fountain serenely occupies the opposite end, creating a chic and romantic ambiance that suffuses the entire atmosphere. The designers have artfully orchestrated a marriage of classic Italian elegance with Dubai’s opulent flair. I’m in love.

The restaurant’s layout is clearly the result of meticulous curation, enhancing both flow and atmosphere, contributing to the overall narrative as guests weave their way from the lobby to the dining table on a journey of discovery. From the custom-built wine cellar flanking the hallway, the raised bar and the intimate, curved booths, each element has been thoughtfully designed with precision to strike a perfect balance between privacy and connection.
Under the culinary direction of Executive Chef Luca Rossi, the menu presents a delightful amalgamation of traditional Italian dishes, with each plate serving as a testament to the Mediterranean spirit. Our jovial waiter, impeccably attired in a butter-yellow double-breasted blazer, regaled us with alluring tales of the signature dishes. Tagliolini with a creamy lemon sauce and caviar. Lobster alla Catalana accompanied by sweet tomatoes and Tropea onions. And the delightful beetroot and asparagus carpaccio all have a heartwarming story that I encourage you to discover. The homemade pistachio gelato, adorned with a rich black cherry sauce served alongside warm brioche, is an indulgence not to be overlooked.
Signor Sassi also adeptly accommodates diverse dietary preferences, boasting an impressive selection of plant-based options that are sure to impress even the most discerning palates.

Seated near the bar, I was captivated as master mixologists skilfully crafted their creative elixirs throughout the evening — each a symphony of flavours executed with impeccable style. The Signor Negroni, composed of Malfy gin con limone, Campari infused with yellow tomato and basil, Manchino rosso vermouth and a delicate dash of fine olive oil, is indisputably a must-try.
Enthralled by its stunning interiors, exquisite cuisine and the warm hospitality of each staff member who treats every guest as though they are returning family, Signor Sassi has seamlessly secured a place among my favourite restaurants in Dubai — a true achievement for a city with such an impressive culinary scene.
